BIERSET: A non-everyday transport crawls through the streets of the Meuse town of Amay to the south of Liège. There on Tuesday a Russian Mi26 HAlo, the largest helicopter in the world, was brought on a low loader from the Meuse to the airfield of Bierset. The helicopter arrived on Monday of the previous week in Antwerp on a ship from Malaysia and was placed there by Riga Natie onto an inland waterways vessel. It was delivered in Liège by ABN Transport via the Albert canal and the Meuse. The helicopter will be deployed this summer in Sicily for forest fires. (Photo Belga)
